+The EMEP/air pollutant EEA emission inventory guidebook 2023 distinguishes two use cases for lubricants: applications for cooling and applications without specification. Therefore, a double counting could not be excluded with the use of both emission factors. As cooling lubricants are part of metal working fluids they are included in the german national inventory. To avoid a double counting and to have a view as good as possible on the NMVOC emissions of lubricants in stationary applications, the above mentioned lubricants are considered with an own emission factor instead using the single general emission factor for all lubricant applications.
